Your First Steps

  3. Download and install Trezor Suite — the official app for managing your crypto.
  4. Follow the guided on-screen setup to create a new wallet or recover from your seed.
  5. Write down your recovery seed on the provided card. Keep it offline and private.

Store your 12, 18, or 24-word recovery seed offline in a secure location. Consider a fireproof or metal backup for long-term storage. Your recovery seed is the only way to restore your funds — Trezor cannot recover it for you.

Firmware Updates

Regularly update your device through Trezor Suite to access the latest features and security improvements. You will always be notified on the device screen before any firmware update occurs.

Authenticity Check

If your Trezor was purchased from a reseller, confirm it is genuine using the device verification tool available at trezor.io/start. Only continue setup if authenticity is verified.
